Dear Diary,
Today I spent the afternoon at Withington C of E Primary School and Foundation Unit – but I almost didn’t! With a closed main road determined to keep me from getting there in time, and satnav continually looping me back to that very same closed road, I was fearful of never making it there. Fortunately, I arrived in the nick of time, and cosied up with the whole school in one classroom. With pupils’ ages ranging from 3 (I think) to 11, it was very different to any visit I’ve done before. But as always, there were so many fantastic questions and plenty of interaction and giggles. I particularly liked some of the ideas the pupils had about what THEY’D do if they had magic at their fingertips – especially turning the whole world into jam! I can’t wait to return to Withington next year with my second book in the series.
