Dear Diary,
This afternoon, I was back in the heart of the Forest of Dean for school visit number 30. With this being the final week of term, I was anticipating tired, switched-off children at Soudley School today, all desperate to break up for the summer holidays. But to my surprise and delight, I found an eager and alert group awaiting me. Everyone was keen to join in during my assembly. And the KS2 pupils came up with some real gems during our workshop afterwards! But Year 6… what can I say?!? I think you were the most enthusiastic bunch of Year 6 pupils I’ve met on my travels so far! No wonder your teacher will be sad to see you all leave and move on to secondary school. It was a real treat to see you join in so wholeheartedly. Thank you! There were so many super stories yet again, including one about a monster who wanted to make new friends… because he had nothing else to eat; another about Billy, whose embarrassing superpower was that he could spit out milk; and one that was very aptly named ‘Fart Problem’. But the icing on the cake today? The fact that I was allowed to take lots of photos! Thank you to everyone for a stand-out afternoon! I can’t wait to return next year.
