Dear Diary,
News that I’m offering free school visits is definitely spreading, as someone just contacted me via the website to see if I’d visit their primary school in Bedford. (I’m in Cheltenham, so we’re talking a 194-mile round trip!) It certainly got me thinking. How far really IS too far?!? I love the idea of taking WARNING: Magic Can Be Dangerous! further afield. But would it work logistically and not go horribly, horribly wrong? What if I were booked in for a morning assembly followed by activity sessions throughout the day, then I encountered a horrific traffic jam, a road closure (it’s happened before), or some other long delay on the way there? Perhaps, if the school can be flexible (with a back-up plan for a later assembly if things go awry on my journey), it COULD work. (I do think schools within a 100-mile radius of Cheltenham would have to be the absolute MAXIMUM distance, though! But then again…)
