Dear Diary,
School visit number 7 was to St Paul’s C of E Primary in Gloucester, where many of the children liked the idea of turning their sister into a spider and washing her down the plughole! (I don’t have a sister myself. But I’m sure that if I did, I’d find the idea very appealing, too!) The pupils were far more alert and engaged than I expected them to be on a Friday afternoon just before home time. Especially as many of them will be facing the dreaded SATS next week. There was a real buzz in the hall from the moment everyone entered until the moment they left. And after hearing how much they all enjoy reading and writing, I have no doubt in my mind that I’ll be seeing books by many of them in bookshops up and down the country one day!
